Game of the Day : MilMo

This is my first of a running series called Game of the Day. I'll post a little blurb on here about something I've played or something I'm playing now. The first one is going to be an online free to play title called MilMo

MilMo is a game about exploration. It feels quite a bit like N64 platformers like Banjo-Kazooie with cute little sword-toting people. I've spent a good chunk of the day playing it and I have this to say.

1. Don't let the graphics fool you.
Yes, I know the game looks like it's made for 5 year olds, but it looks like down the line things get a lot more difficult and a lot more thought goes into finishing the quests and finding secrets. It also looks like they just added PvP content which seems really odd in a game like this. I havn't tried it myself yet, but I'm sure I'll get into it soon.

2. This game my annoy you with collect-a-thons.
I found a quest that had me run in circles on an island trying to pick up shells, then he proceeded to give me nothing I wanted for my effort. There is tons of crap to pick up and you're never sure what to do with it.

3. Tons of players are from other countries.
I can't understand the loudest people in this game it. I'm not sure exactly what language the main playerbase speaks, but I sure don't understand it.

This game feels like it has quite a few influences, and it can be annoying at times, but I think there's quite a bit going for this game and look forward to playing it . Play from Facebook Apps or go to milmogame.com to make an account. Oh shit, I nearly forgot. It's free to play =D.

And thanks to Beau Hindman, one of my favorite people on the internet for showing me this game and giving me the push to write online.
